Parish Council meeting minutes, March 2015
Meeting of the Parish Council held on Thursday, 12th March 2015 at 8pm in the Village Hall.
Present
Cllrs. S. Denis in the Chair, Cllrs. D. Guy, A. Beaney, P. Sillibourne, Mrs F. Burt, Mrs T. Cliffe-Harrison, Mrs A. Tanton and the Clerk, Mrs M. Shaw.

Minutes
The minutes of the previous meeting had been circulated, these were resolved as a correct record, after amendment of Bromley Green Road to Ash Hill, proposed by Cllr. P. Sillibourne, seconded by Cllr. D. Guy.
Matters Arising
Sewage problems along Bromley Green Road – No actual progress appears to have been made. A meeting with the Damian Collins M.P., Cllr. J. Martin and the Steering Committee was held on 27th February, details as circulated by Cllr. Martin.

Treasurers Account as at 28th February 2015 £ 12,527 - 06Cheques were agreed and drawn:-
- Mrs M. Shaw, Salary (1st January 2015 to 31st March 2015) £ 711 – 69 less P.AY.E. £ 142 – 34 Total £ 569 – 35.

Planning
00157/AS Ivanhoe, Bromley Green Road, Ruckinge. Erection of brick wall and entrance gates to road frontage(retrospective).There have been complaints about the excessively bright lights, Clerk to write to the owners and also to be reported on the planning comments site.Approvals received:-
15/00137/AS Honeydene, Bromley Green Road, Ruckinge. First floor rear extension and linked single storey rear Extension.
15/00104/AS Ash Hill House, Ash Hill, Ruckinge. Erection of a part single storey and part first floor side and rear extension and insertion of first floor window to South East elevation.
Carters Field/Bromley Green Hall
The Chairman had met with a tree surgeon, the oak trees on the left hand side need trimming and removing the dead wood, but those elsewhere are in good condition. Two further quotes are to be obtained. The trees in the playground area are to be quoted for separately.It was agreed to ask Messrs. Halletts, Solicitors, if they have facilities available for “Safe Keeping” of the Deeds.
Highways & Byways
Some of the pot-holes have been done. Cllr. A. Beaney had met the Drainage engineer and the one outside North View has been marked yet again.The problems for horse riders at Gill Lane with the “Blocks” have been resolved. The Chairman will ascertain when the woodman will cease using Gill Lane.
Web site
The annual subscriptions are soon due, it was agreed that these be paid when received.
Village Hall Condition and Future
Letters have been sent to those who were willing to volunteer, and an introductory meeting would be held on 15th April followed by the Annual General Meeting on 5th May.Cllr. A. Beaney and Mrs R. Collick would remain until the new committee had “settled“ in. When they are established it was agreed to have a meeting with them.
Borough Councillor
Cllr. J. Martin had circulated an updating “newsletter” to all councillors.
Items of Interest
At the T-junction at Hamstreet opposite Pound Leas there are two vehicle transporter lorries which obscure vehicles vision when exiting from Ruckinge direction. It was agreed to write to Orlestone Parish Council.Fly-tipping has been occurring with mattresses being dumped, but these have now been removed by the Borough Council.

The next Meeting was agreed for Thursday 9th April 2015 at 8 pm in Bromley Green Hall. There being no further business the Chairman declared the meeting closed at 09:30 p.m.
