Parish Council meeting minutes, April 2015
Meeting of the Parish Council held on Thursday, 9th April 2015 at 8pm in the Village Hall.

The minutes of the previous meeting had been circulated, these were resolved as a correct record, proposed by Cllr. P. Sillibourne, seconded by Cllr. D. Guy.
Sewage problems along Bromley Green Road – Nothing further.

Treasurers Account as at 31st March 2015 £ 11,319 - 99Cheque was approved and drawn:- K & S Accountancy, Payroll services £ 118 + V.A.T. £ 23 – 60 total due £ 141 - 60Income received:£ 500 Grant for Canal Path, courtesy of County Councillor M. Angell.Approval of the Financial Statement proposed by Cllr. P. Sillibourne, seconded by Cllr. Mrs T. Approvals received:- 15/00157/AS Ivanhoe, Bromley Green Road, Ruckinge. Erection of brick wall and entrance gates to road frontage (retrospective).
Carters Field/Bromley Green Hall
The quotations for the tree maintenance were discussed and it was proposed by Cllr. P. Sillibourne, seconded by Cllr. A. Beaney unanimously agreed that the quotation from Mark Bolan be accepted on the sum of £ 600, to be carried out as soon as possible.
Highways & Byways
A barrier has now been put by K.C.C. by Ruckinge House where a “Sink hole” has developed. Some of the pot-holes have been done but others have just been ignored.The problems for horse riders at Gill Lane with the “Blocks” have been resolved.
The annual subscriptions are soon due, it was agreed that these be paid when received.
Village Hall Condition and Future
Cllr. A. Beaney has still not heard from the Grant application, the Clerk would follow this up. It was confirmed that the Parish Council will look favourable to financing this work, should the grant not be forthcoming.The meeting of the Village Hall “volunteer” committee will take place next Wednesday.
Items of Interest
An email had been forwarded by the Chairman with various complaints from a parishioner, these were briefly discussed and a suitable response will be drafted for approval. In the meantime the Chairman to reply pointing out that any request under the Freedom of Information Act must be sent in writing to the Proper Officer of the Council.
The problem with motor-cycling/racing along the 2070 is under investigation by the A.B.C. Solicitors department.
Some of the previously dumped mattresses have not yet been removed. As this was the last meeting of the present Council, Councillors were thanked for their work over the last four years, and special thanks extended to Cllr. A. Tanton was as not standing for re-election, whose contributions had been invaluable to the work of the council and especially for Carters Field, QEII Jubilee Field.

The Annual Meeting of the Parish Council was agreed for Thursday, 14th May 2015 at 8 p.m. in Ruckinge Village Hall preceded by the arish Meeting at 7.30 p.m.There being no further business the Chairman declared the meeting closed at 9.15 p.m.
