Parish Council meeting minutes, March 2016
Meeting of the Parish Council held on Thursday, 10th March 2016 at 8.00 p.m. in Ruckinge Village Hall.
Cllr. S. Denis in the Chair, Cllrs. P. Sillibourne, D. Guy, A. Beaney, Mrs T. Cliffe-Harrison, Mrs M. Hills and the Clerk, Mrs M. Shaw.

There were none.
The minutes of the previous meeting had been circulated, these were resolved as a correct record, proposed by Cllr. A. Beaney, seconded by Cllr. P. Sillibourne and agreed.
Sewage problems, Bromley Green Road – the work on the Pods has commenced. Cllr. Mrs T. Cliffe-Harrison is have a meeting tomorrow with Southern Water with a view to negotiating the rental and the compensation for the inconvenience to the Bromley Green Hall.
The meeting was closed at 8.05p.m for members of the public to discuss this matter especially in relation to the usage of the hall.
The meeting reconvened at 8.20 p.m..

Clerks and Councils Direct.The meeting was closed at 8.30 p.m.to allow discussion on the finances of the Bromley Green Residents Association.The meeting reconvened at 8.45 p.m.
Treasurers Account as at 29th February 2016 £15,771-77
Updated Financial Regulations, these were formally adopted, proposed by Cllr. A. Beaney, seconded by Cllr. D. Guy and unanimously agreed.
The Clerk had circulated her expenses book, this was approved.
It was unanimously agreed that cheques be drawn as per schedule.
Donations were agreed for both Halls at £ 1,000 each.
16 /00205/AS Blue Anchor, Hamstreet Road, Ruckinge. *AMENDED DESCRIPTION & PLANS* Change of use of part of ground floor to residential accommodation in association with existing accommodation at first floor level with associated garden. Change of use of part of ground floor to office with associated parking. This will be discussed when the Parish Council queries have been resolved.
16/00276/AS Belmont, Bromley Green Road, Ruckinge. Front extension to existing bungalow. The application was supported
15/01505/AS Willow Tree House, Bromley Green Road, Ruckinge. Erection of a garage and garden store with a home office above.
The Appeal for Cherrytree Paddock against the Enforcement Order, will be held on 19th April in Singleton Environment Centre this is NOT an appeal on the recent planning application.
The Environment Agency had accessed the field for clearing the ditch, this was carried out via Mr P. Collicks field.
It was agreed that there should be a managing committee comprised of members of both Halls for organizing communal events and similar.
The frequency of mowing will also need to be considered.
This had been discussed earlier during the closed session.
Highways & Byways
Hamstreet Road landslide - acknowledgement from Damian Collins M.P. Cllr. J. Martin will also look into this matter.
Nothing further to report. As above when It was agreed that Cllr Mrs M. Hill will meet with both Hall chairmen to discuss possible joint activities.
Cllr. J. Martin reported on various subjects, including Junction 10a.
Items of Interest
It was reported that nothing had been done regarding prosecution of the company who dumped the Mattresses.
