Parish Council meeting minutes, September 2016
Meeting of the Parish Council held on Thursday, Thursday, 8th September 2016 at 8 p.m. in Bromley Green Hall.
Cllr. S. Denis in the Chair, Cllrs. P. Sillibourne, D. Guy, Mrs F. Burt, Mrs T. Cliffe-Harrison, Mrs M. Hills and the Clerk, Mrs M. Shaw.
Cllr. A. Beaney
There were none.
The minutes of the previous meeting had been circulated, after a minor amendment to item on the Village Hall, these were resolved as a correct record, proposed by Cllr. Mrs F. Burt, seconded by Cllr. D. Guy and agreed.
Sewage problems, Bromley Green Road: It was reported that the contractors are now installing the telemetry to the “Pods”, but actually require rainfall to ascertain their functioning capacity.

16/01285/AS Carter Farm, Hamstreet Road, Ruckinge.Steel framed agricultural building extending from existing.The application was supported.
16/01101/AS Willow Court, Bilsington Road, Ruckinge.Change of use from named B8(warehouse & distribution) use to open B1 (light industrial) use. Prior Approval was not required for the following applications:-
16/0974/AS Carter Farm, Hamstreet Road, Ruckinge. Application for prior notification of proposed agricultural development being the erection of a proposed barn.
16/00883/AS Golden Wood Farm, Brisley Lane, Ruckinge.Prior approval for change of use from agricultural building to one dwelling house and associated operational development.
Cherry Tree Paddock - nothing further on the Appeal.
The Picnic Tables have been stolen from Carters Field. An insurance claim has been made and they require replacements to be purchased and the Parish Council will be reimbursed less £ 125 excess fee. It was proposed by Cllr. D. Guy, seconded by Cllr. P. Sillibourne and unanimously agreed that the tables be purchased and stored.
The Bromley Green Residents Association Chairman had met with the Chairman and expressed willingness to liaise with the Parish Council. Agreed that the Chairman will invite both to a meeting.
Highways & Byways
Cllr. A. Beaney has had no success contacting the Highways Inspector for a meeting.
Nothing further on the PROW closure - the Chairman will contact Mr G. Rusling.
There are numerous overgrown hedges in the village which are still causing serious hazards to vehicles - to be followed up.
Letter received by the Chairman detailing what the Hall Committee have achieved recently. The Chairman will respond on various points raised. It was agreed to fund a letter bin for the Hall Car Park. It was confirmed that a salt bag is not required this year, the Hall car park is the only suitable location for easy accessibility and use by the public and for the delivery of the salt bag.
Cllr. P. Sillibourne had contacted the Footpath Warden, who currently has no time to pursue this role. It was suggested that this be mentioned on the website.
Items of Interest
Entrance to the field at the bottom of Dimon Hill - an Enforcement Officer will inspect the Site.
Street Light outside North View - still being pursued.

There being no further business the Chairman declared the meeting closed at 9.35 p.m.
