Minutes of the Meeting of the Parish Council held on Thursday, 14th February 2019 at 8 p.m. in Bromley Geen Hall.

Cllr. S. Denis in the Chair, Cllrs. D. Guy, A. Beaney, P. Sillibourne, J. Reid, Mrs. T. Cliffe-Harrison, and the Clerk, Mrs. M. Shaw. .

Minutes
The minutes of the previous meeting had been circulated and were agreed as correct.
Matters Arising
Sewage problems, Bromley Green Road - two sewage tankers are regularly attending the area on a daily basis.

Planning
19/00128/AS Land North of and adjacent to Harrison House, Ash Hill, Ruckinge. Proposed new dwelling with detached garage and new access.The application was objected to.
19/00132/AS Sunnyside, Bromley Green Road, Ruckinge. Conversion of existing workshop into self-catering holiday accommodation and erection of porch. The application was supported with the proviso that permission is only for a holiday let.

It was agreed to accept the confines as specified on the circulated A.B.C. map.

Fencing, etc. – nothing further.
Chain and Gate vandalism – rhis continues.
Picnic Benches - nothing further.
Dog Training, field usage donation – nothing further.
Supermarket” funding – nothing further.
Play area mowing – will be carried out at the appropriate time.
Car park surface – this has not been done yet.
Car park barrier – this is progressing, and is awaiting painting.
Bromley Green Hall
Defibrillators – the Clerk had located suppliers and one would cost £ 1,395 plus V.A.T. and would also require electrical installation. It was proposed by Cllr. Mrs T. Cliffe-Harrison to purchase and agreed, but it was not decided if one should be purchased for each hall. Cllr. Mrs T Cliffe- Harrison will investigate further..
Highways & Byways
Village “Gateways” – Cllr. A. Beaney had investigated wih K.C.C. but the costs are exhorbitant. It was agreed to consult with Councty Councillor Mike Angell.
Overgrown hedges – some have been cut.
Drains and gullies – some have been repaired, but very badly.
Mirror, Bromley Green Road/Hornash Lane crossroads – nothing further.
Village Hall
Mr Bridge had been invited but was not available to attend this meeting. To be invited again.
Items of interest
The telephone kiosk has eventually been removed.
Cllr. P. Sillibourne had brought copies of the Parish Magazine from thirty years ago with his report as his hall chairman, which referred to the Village Hall history and the apathy in the village which has worsened.
